Thoughts and Goals!

I am sitting here this morning and my mind is wondering as it has done often recently. A few weeks ago as we were preparinwig to move, I was visiting with our Bishop in Prineville (a wonderful man). He was talking about his memories as a child. He has such early memoriesof his childhood. I began to think of my kids, what will they remember from being so young? Will they remember that they were loved more then I ever knew possible? Will they remember playing with their mom and dad? Will they remember the laughter we shared as a family? Or as I fear will they remember my lack of patience? Will they remember mom being to busy right now, or not paying attention to them? Will they remember mom being too busy cleaning to sit and play a game with them? I fear that they will remember the latter. So I am resolving to do better, to be better. I will sit and play games, I will laugh and make good memories. I will tell them how much I love them, and I won't be to busy anymore. So my dishes may not be washed and the floors may not be swept, but my kids will have good memories from their childhood. I am determined to do better nad be better. I am determined to focus on my family, I will be a better wife and mother. I am wrting this down for a couple reasons. One is so I can put all my thoughts together and second is to hold myself more responsible. I can think all I want but writing it down makes it more real. I will be better!

Those are very good thoughts! I think it is awesome and smart to be aware of those things, then it helps you to make an effort at making good memories with them every day. :)

I have a sign proudly diplayed in our home that read "Good mothers have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids." It a good reminder for me on days when I feel like I can't do it all. Being with the kidos and making memories is the best thing we Moms can don.. and fear not, dear, you do it well. You have some great kids because they have a great mom. :o)
